Boarded Hall Green

This vibrant, eco-friendly housing development was designed for the local market and is priced to attract first time buyers. The cost conscious design utilises simple geometrical volumes which are arranged along tree lined avenues and which are articulated using inexpensive techniques such as window syncopation, changes in wall thickness, colour and plastic lattice. The lattice is identified as a traditional barbadian building element that is often used within the vernacular chattel house architecture. It is intended that the use of this material will provoke a recognised response to the buildings that is familiar and welcoming. Due for completion July 2013.
